Terms of Service

Article 1. Purpose

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the Starling service ("Service") provided by MindWorld ("Company") and define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company and its users.

Article 2. Definitions

① "Service" refers to the AI agent-based social simulation platform provided by the Company. ② "User" refers to any person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service. ③ "Credits" refers to the virtual currency used within the Service to run simulations and other features. ④ "Simulation" refers to the process in which AI agents discuss and react to specific topics.

Article 3. Effectiveness and Modification of Terms

① These Terms become effective when posted on the Service or otherwise communicated to Users. ② The Company may modify these Terms within the scope of applicable laws and will notify Users at least 7 days prior to the effective date. ③ Users who do not agree to the modified Terms may discontinue use of the Service and delete their account.

Article 4. Provision of Services

① The Company provides the following services: 1. Creation and execution of AI agent-based social simulations 2. Simulation result reports 3. Credit purchase and management 4. Other services as determined by the Company ② The Service is available worldwide, including the United States, Japan, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and other countries. However, access may be restricted depending on local laws and regulations in the User's country of residence. ③ The Company may modify or discontinue services with prior notice.

Article 5. Registration and Accounts

① Users may register by completing the registration form provided by the Company. ② Users must provide accurate information. Any disadvantages resulting from false information are the User's responsibility. ③ Users are responsible for managing their accounts and may not transfer or lend their accounts to others. ④ The Service is available only to Users aged 14 or older (13 or older for residents of the United States).

Article 6. Credits and Payment

① Users may purchase Credits to use the Service. ② Credit pricing and usage conditions are displayed within the Service. ③ Payments are processed through payment methods designated by the Company (credit cards, virtual accounts, simple payment, etc.). ④ Payments from international Users are processed through Paymentwall or other international payment processors. The payment currency may vary depending on the User's country of residence. ⑤ Credits are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase and expire thereafter.

Article 7. Refund Policy

① Unused Credits may be refunded within 7 days of purchase. ② Credits that have already been used are non-refundable. ③ Free Credits (signup bonuses, promotions, etc.) are not eligible for refund. ④ Refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take 3-5 business days. ⑤ To request a refund, Users must contact us via official email (mind-wellness@naver.com) within 7 days of service provision, providing their [Name], [Email], and [Payment Details]. ⑥ The Company will review the refund request within 3 business days and proceed with the refund if approved. In cases of service unavailability due to technical issues, the Company will prioritize resolving the issue and re-providing the service. ⑦ Refund requests due to simple change of mind or lack of familiarity with the service will not be approved. ⑧ The Company may amend this refund policy and will publish the effective date and reasons for changes on the official website.

Article 8. Intellectual Property

① Intellectual property rights related to the Service belong to the Company. ② Users retain usage rights to simulation results generated through the Service. ③ Users must not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.

Article 9. Prohibited Activities

Users must not engage in the following activities: 1. Stealing others' information or registering false information 2. Activities that violate applicable laws using the Service 3. Activities that interfere with the stable operation of the Service 4. Abnormal use of the Service through automated tools 5. Other activities reasonably deemed inappropriate by the Company

Article 10. Disclaimer

① Simulation results by AI agents are for reference purposes only and do not guarantee actual public opinion or consumer reactions. ② The Company is not responsible for Users' decisions based on simulation results. ③ The Company is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure events such as natural disasters or system failures.

Article 11. International Users

① Users accessing the Service from outside the Republic of Korea are responsible for complying with applicable laws and regulations in their country of residence. ② Personal information collected through the Service may be stored and processed on servers located in the Republic of Korea or on overseas servers operated by the Company's service providers (Vercel, Firebase, etc.). ③ By using the Service, Users consent to the cross-border transfer of their personal information.

Article 12. Dispute Resolution

① These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. ② Disputes related to the Service shall be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Company's headquarters. ③ For international Users, these Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with Korean law. Mandatory consumer protection regulations of the User's country of residence may apply separately.
